Daisy's Story | ORA Pet Beds

Hi, I'm Suzy, and I'd love to share the story of our beautiful girl, Daisy. Daisy is a Dogue de Bordeaux, and her journey with us began as a rescue. She had clearly been through a lot – she’d had at least one litter and was battling a terrible double ear infection along with painful fly bite infections. Her condition was so severe that she had to undergo anaesthesia just to get these issues under control.

When we found Daisy, she weighed only 31 kilograms and was a bundle of nerves. She was timid, scared, and seemed completely unsure of everything around her. Her anxiety was heartbreaking to witness, and we knew it would take a lot of work to help her feel safe and loved.

My family (my husband Terry & our kids) and I – have been dedicated to helping Daisy overcome her fears. It’s been a journey of trust-building, with lots of cuddles, patience, and reassurance. Watching her slowly come out of her shell has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives.

Daisy has come such a long way since those early days. Her transformation from a scared rescue to a confident, happy dog is a testament to the power of love and the right care. We’re incredibly proud of her, and she serves as a constant reminder of why we’re so passionate about what we do at ORA Pet Beds. Daisy’s story is one of resilience and hope, and we’re honoured to have her as a part of our family.
